Edgar’s Restaurant

Edgar’s Restaurant is one of the top spots throughout Northeast Ohio. Chefs use intense flavors to create pairings that delight the palate while capturing the essence of the area. It sits on the J.E. Good Park Golf Course, and during the warmer months, you can dine outside and watch the golfers on the course. Favorites from the starters menu include frog legs, sautéed in butter and olive oil and tossed with a lemon white-wine sauce, and Angus Sliders served with wild mushrooms and Swiss cheese or caramelized onion and bleu cheese.

Your next course might include a cup of baked, caramelized French onion soup with Swiss cheese and herbed crostini or a house salad, which comes with all entrees. If you want something traditional, opt for the buttermilk-soaked fried chicken, served with green beans and Edgar’s mash, or the country meatloaf, made with lean ground beef, veal, and pork, and slow-roasted for flavor. The restaurant also serves smoked meats, specialty salads, and award-winning side dishes. Desserts come from local bakeries, and options include fresh cakes, pies, cheesecake, and other sweets.

The Diamond Grille

When The Diamond Grille opened in 1941, the founder wanted to start a tradition of serving high-quality steaks and seafood. In the eight decades it’s been open, this family-owned establishment has continued that tradition, offering a fine dining experience with something on the menu for every visitor. Start with a local favorite, fresh perch from Lake Erie, or an antipasto platter, then choose from one of the U.S. Prime Beef steaks. There are seven different cuts of steak available, along with lamb and pork chops, and a tenderloin steak sandwich.

If beef isn’t your favorite, try one of the seafood options, like salmon, swordfish, perch, tuna, grouper, halibut, or sole, available pan-fried, broiled, or chargrilled to perfection. The restaurant also has a full bar menu and recommended wine pairings for each of the top entrees.

Ken Stewart’s Lodge

Whether you’re looking for a romantic destination or a spot for a business dinner, Ken Stewart’s Lodge is the place to go. Open daily for lunch and dinner, its cozy atmosphere combines comfort with romance. It also boasts a two-story stone fireplace that keeps diners warm when they eat al fresco on the rustic patio. Appetizer options include shrimp cocktail, sliced sesame Ahi tuna, and truffle fries. If you’re sticking to a healthier diet, try one of the specialty salads, such as kale & quinoa with roasted red peppers, sunflower seeds, and dried cranberries, all tossed in Dijon vinaigrette.

The dinner menu offers comfort food at its finest, with selections like pork chops, ribs, tangy pasta dishes, and upscale macaroni and cheese. Save room for dessert, since this extensive section of the menu has delicacies like chocolate mousse, seasonal bread pudding, s’mores, and a peanut butter bomb.
