BMW M3 CS Touring Coming Spring 2025
January 08 2025 - BMW Of Akron

What we know!

Tested and proven, the CS Touring is representative of the final, standout iteration for what is truly a passionate fan base when it comes to the combustion-powered M3 Touring. Blending utility with great driving dynamics, the M3 CS Touring for 2025 is presented with effective, yet understated design changes. To that end, the front end features updated headlights borrowed from the M3 Sedan and which are complemented by a distinctive CS-specific kidney grille that is similar to the M4 CSL. There are also many carbon fiber accents, including the front lip, air intakes and other aerodynamic elements. These serve to emphasize the vehicle’s slightly lighter and sportier character. At the rear, changes are also minimal, and taillights are most likely going to mirror the design of the M3 Sedan.

Its look/power!

Traditionally with BMW M’s CS models, the CS Touring will debut in colorful style, complete with a flashy launch color and unique design touches within. That includes lightweight carbon bucket seats, as well as a modest weight reduction that will mirror the modest savings within the M3 CS Sedan, which shed about 75 pounds compared to the M3 Competition xDrive.

It will be built, similar to its sedan counterpart, on the Competition model platform which features an eight-speed automatic and BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-system.

The M3 CS Touring will get its power from the same S58 engine found in the G80 M3 CS and upcoming G82 M4 CS. Thanks to this power, 543 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque is realized, ensuring exhilarating performance and driving worthy of the CS badge. Power is routed to all four wheels, resulting in optimal traction and control. This high-speed wagon will feature an eight-speed automatic transmission and its increase in power due to the tuned version of the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-6 engine, which benefits from extra boost pressure and tweaks to the electronic control unit.

This new model will boast improved body rigidity, more powerful brakes and various weight-saving measures, similar to the sedan.

The M3 Touring, although not available in the U.S., has enjoyed tremendous success in Europe and other markets, at times exceeding production capacity.

It is expected that the M3 CS Touring will likely sell out quickly, especially with rumors suggesting a production run of just 1,800 units worldwide. Similar to the standard Touring, the CS version will not be available in the U.S., a decision that won’t be a popular one among BMW M enthusiasts.

This M3 CS Touring is highly anticipated for a number of reasons, mainly because it is representative of the future of high-performance wagons. Caught testing at Nurburgring, the new 2025 M3 CS Touring and its release this spring is surely cause for excitement! The combination of a practical wagon and the performance of a CS, the thrill of driving an “M” car is surely found here!
