Tucked away in a strip mall, you wouldn’t realize at first glance that George’s Donuts has award-winning donuts. Yet, locals have been frequenting George’s for over 46 years. Not only are all of the donuts made in-house, but so are the fillings and custards. A collection of the freshest fruit is used in every single batch of George’s donuts. Make sure you try the chocolate chip or fruit custard donuts.
Peace Love and Little Donut’s name is not the only unique thing about this quaint donut shop. The donut shop is inspired by the 1970’s, complete with groovy designs, colorful donuts, and an overall laid-back environment. This donut shop was first opened in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area and has since expanded across the United States, with one in the Akron area.
You can choose from three different donut categories. Groovy donuts will give you cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar, or maple sugar toppings. The Far Out category includes vanilla, chocolate, lemon, and mocha frostings. Finally, the Funkadelic donuts are the most unique donuts in the shop and come covered with frosting and wild toppings such as apple pie, cheesecake, and maple bacon.
