Powerful push! 

For 2023, the standard xDrive40i model, one of two core models, is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six that provides 375 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque. This represents an increase of 40 horsepower and 67 pound-feet. For the M60i model, staggering horsepower is found here, including a whopping 523-hp twin turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8 which boasts 48-volt hybrid assistance among other engine modifications. This car also takes advantage of standard air springs and the rear-axle steering and amps up from 0-60 in just 4.5 seconds. 

Both of these engines pair brilliantly with an eight-speed automatic that now is presented with a Spring function that shifts the transmission into the lowest available gear and puts all the drive modes in the sportiest settings when the left paddle shifter is held for one second. 

A peak inside! 

A new curved display is among the eye-catching features inside this X7, and marks one of the many updated aspects within. Drivers also enjoy a massive new iDrive 8 screen, which came straight from the BMW iX. It boasts a floating design, which hangs over an expansive piece of wood trim on the dashboard. In addition to the new screen, the X7 LCI gets the same digital dials as the iX, which is joined with the iDrive 8 to make one massive screen. 

Beautiful ambient lighting rounds out the interior look and spans the redesigned dashboard. 

The xDrive 40i also features customizable options within and boasts seven seats configured in three rows. There is all-new Sensation upholstery, buttery soft and luxurious, offering extra durability desired by today’s drivers and passengers alike. 

Extended Merino Leather and Fineline Black wood trim are among the interior highlights in the M60i, along with a fully finished cargo area with velour carpeting and remote trunk release. 

Style icon 

A refreshed look for 2023 speaks to this vehicle’s bold design, something it is known for year after year. Updates in this new model include a unique, new front end as well as the addition of a new split headlight design. To bring this refresh forth, BMW sliced off the bottom half of the X7’s headlights, with a big kidney grille illuminated on the high-performance M60i model. 

Optional on the standard xDrive40i is a light-up grille. Updates to the rear include triangular 3D elements on the taillights. 

Color options also run the gamut, including 40 BMW individual options which include both nonmetallic and matte finishes. There is also available an M Sport package which features the addition of gloss-black trim, 21-inch wheels and trapezoidal exhaust tip. For the M60i model, there is an M logo on the grille, which is new for the M-badged model, a body kit, and 22-inch wheels. In the new year, an option of a set of 23-inch wheels equipped with summer tires is made available.

Advanced, wireless features, remote services and intuitive technology all make up the all-new X7.
