This car comes with a “sport” button which results in better throttle response and more weight to the steering’s action. Other convenient touches include a tilt/telescopic steering wheel column, rain sensing windshield wipers with adjustable speed and automatic headlight control. Such features include a Front and rear Head Protection System; driver’s and passenger’s front airbag supplemental restraint system with advanced technology, knee airbags and front-seat-mounted side-impact airbags. Safety and security doesn’t stop there. There are automatic locking retractors (ALR) on all passenger seat safety belts, Coded Drive-away Protection; an Impact Sensor that disengages the fuel pump, automatically unlocks doors and turns on hazarding interior lights. An anti-theft alarm system is also part of your X1 as well as BMW’s Assist eCall and BMW Remote Services like Stolen Vehicle Recovery, Remote Door Lock/Unlock and BMW Connected App.
